Macon Animals is dedicated to helping the dogs and cats of Macon County, North Carolina find their forever homes.
We believe every shelter pet deserves a loving family. Through this website, community outreach, and hands-on care at the shelter, we work tirelessly to connect animals with adopters throughout Western North Carolina.

What We Do

Daily Care
Our volunteers walk, feed, bathe, and play with the animals daily to keep them healthy and happy while they wait for adoption.
Adoption Support
We help match potential adopters with the right pet, provide information about the adoption process, and offer guidance for new pet parents.
Community Outreach
Through this website and social media, we share photos and stories of available animals to reach potential adopters across the region.

Dogs and cats from all over Macon County, North Carolina are looking for forever homes. These animals come from Highlands NC, Franklin NC, Scaly NC, Otto NC, Cowee NC, Burningtown NC, Iotla NC, Cullasaja NC, Hickory Knoll NC and Clarks Chapel, NC.
Whether they're rescues, owner releases, or strays, we believe every animal deserves a chance at a happy life with a loving family.
